A QNM Exclusive: "The Fabric Diary"

Friday, July 27, 2007

Check your mailbox or your favorite quilt shop for the September 2007 issue of Quilters Newsletter Magazine for the first installment of my three-part story, "The Fabric Diary," introducing a new character who will appear in The New Year's Quilt in November. In this QNM exclusive, quilter Adele Crosier buys a Manhattan bed-and-breakfast and inherits the mysteries of the quilts discovered within.

Enjoy!

I have been checking for this magazine - I just have to be patient until it arrives in the shop! Should be any day! I’m curious tho, will you have copies of the new book at the quilt retreat in October? Will it be close enough to November? Congratulations to you. You are having quite a successful 2007!

Hi Jennifer,
Well, got the new issue of QNM and have read the first part of the “The Fabric Diary”.  It was superb reading and I can hardly wait for the finale.  I wonder if the quilts that are in this story will be in a new quilt book?  Thanks again for your wonderful imagination.

Amazon has an additional book listed ... do we have a publication date for The Winding Ways Quilt?

I have been looking and looking for a copy of Quilters Newsletter and can’t find it anywhere.  Went to bookstores in my area, even drove to Lancaster PA and checked in a couple of quilt shops.... nothing!  I’d really like to read it and will need the next two issues as well.
Any suggestions on where I can find it?

I just read “The Fabirc Diary” and I only have one complaint...it was not nearly long enough.  I really enjoyed it and I can not wait for the next magazine.  I have always been interested in B and B’s and the thought of connecting that with quilts has long been a dream.  That may be just one of many reasins I have loved reading your books.

Thanks

Back issues of QNM can be purchased at www.villagequiltshoppe.com if you can’t find them in your local store or library.

I loved the first part and can’t wait to read the rest.  I’ve already requested the New Years Quilt and am first in line for it.  I can proudly say that I’ve infected a few of my quilty friends with the Elm Creek bug.  They are as anxious as I am to get their hands on the next one.  Thanks again for all your hard work.  It truly is a pleasure to read all of your work.

I was so happy to re-meet Adele in The New Year’s Quilt!  It was a pleasant surprise after reading about her in QNM.  Thank you!

My daughter gave me “the Quilter’s Homecoming” for Mother’s Day this year (2008) and I have read all but
“The Christmas Quilt” and “The New Year’s Quilt”.  I have shared them with other quilters and friends and we all love these books. Would love to have more to share with friends as we quilt and share the stories.
Happy quilting,
Cindy

grin Hi to all to read here!  I have just finished “Quilter’s Homecoming” this weekend.  My aunt, who has read all of Jennifer’s books, and I who have read and listened to some, LOVE her homespun stories connected to QUILTING!  I hope to obtain some of Jennifer’s quilting pattern books and/or fabrics to add to my aunt’s collection as possibly a Christmas gift.  We really enjoy your writing. Keep it up!
